The 500 Cuddy deserves its reputation as the ‘big little boat’ of Evolution’s range. Measuring 5.30m LOA, this fibreglass vessel manages to fit an extraordinary list of features into its compact hull that will make many larger boats blush.

The foundation of the 500 Cuddy is Evolution’s signature deep–V, hand–laid fibreglass hull that delivers the trademark smooth performance in rough weather. A huge 2.25m beam gives the 500 Cuddy plenty of stability at rest while a wide reverse chine hull design delivers instant cornering and manoeuvrability with the assurance of a dry ride. This generous beam width opens up a remarkable amount of onboard space allowing maximum fishing room in the cockpit.

The cockpit has been designed as a clean and uncluttered workstation. The full–height transom holds a removable fibreglass baitboard along with twin batteries behind flush–mounted locker doors. The transom coaming is also full–width providing optimum angler comfort and allowing the option of built–in tackle boxes.

Storage compartments are also conveniently scattered throughout the cockpit work area with an underfloor well offering space for a storage bin and full–length side pockets provide space for all manner of gear including rods, tag pole, nets and gaffs.
At the helm, the skipper and passenger are treated to fully upholstered bucket seats and a comfortable driving position when seated or standing. The dash layout easily accommodates all the required marine electronics and engine gauges while a fully–moulded windscreen and colour–matched canvas bimini cover offer skipper and passenger protection and comfort.

The flagship feature onboard the 500 Cuddy is the surprisingly spacious forward cabin with ample room to sit upright on the padded V–berth cushions. For added comfort, optional bunk in–fills create more space to rest in between fishing sessions. Access to the bow is through a side–opening hatch with the Evolution design team also making provision for an optional stress–free winch in the anchor well.

The list of standard features continues with rod holders, deck cleats and LED navigation lights, while customising options are almost endless with Evolution offering an extensive list to ensure you get your 500 Cuddy just right.

With the choice of powering the 500 Cuddy with an outboard from 75hp to 115hp, you can expect an outstanding range from the 100L underfloor fuel tank. The ‘big little boat’ also shows its practical side at the ramp with launching and retrieving made easy thanks to a custom–built drive–on / drive–off trailer as part of Evolution’s value boating package.

Easy to tow, easy to operate and very easy to enjoy — the Evolution 500 Cuddy punches well above its weight.
